A fine Victorian single-draw marine telescope in lacquered brass, c. 1870. The barrel retains its original leather grip and the multi-element lens stack is clear and bright, giving a genuinely usable view. A handsome decorative piece with real working optics — equally at home on a desk, a shelf, or in the hand.
Length closed approx. 38cm, extending to 92cm. In very good antique condition commensurate with age, with light patination to the brass.
